About The Director of CAPS
Thank you in advance for your interest and for taking the time to see what C.A.P.S is all about. You may have seen us in the community, perhaps you know someone who works here, or have maybe an you’ve heard something that’s peeked your interest. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Jamie Fielden, the owner and director of Community and Partnership Services. I began working with dependent adults in a skilled nursing facility as a CNA, home health aid , and certified phlebotomist twenty one years ago and realized quickly this was my calling. As I explored this field I discovered what I loved most was being a positive part of a persons journey. It was important to make a positive impact in the lives of the people I served. Eventuality I was blessed with a opportunity to work for a pioneer, wonderful, and insightful woman Gloria Price. She recruited me relentlessly to become her administrator for her ARF Price Home. The story from there writes itself, over the next 15 years I grew my reputation based from my facility having never have being out of compliance, developing a program that promoted independence, acquiring over 1500 professional development education units, and most importantly raising my young family. Eventually I became the owner of The Price Home and from there I developed a supportive living service that allowed the individuals that I love and serve to continue to receive our services but in their own homes. For many of the individuals that we serve this is the first time they have lived in their own home; being a part of that has been rewarding. Having a positive impact on the lives of the individuals I serve is my guiding principle. It would not be possible for me to be in the position to give back to my community, to support a great group of individuals with this service, or offer career opportunities to so many wonderful staff members without the help of many. Gloria Price who always will be the most interesting and generous woman. Gloria’s sharp mind and oversized heart help me grow into the woman I am today. I also had a wonderful mentor who herself helped help find freedom for so many people from institutions and runs the original S.L.S., Carole Maninger. I have been blessed with a wonderful supportive family, four amazing children whom all that I am and all I do is for your betterment; you all are my heart, my joy, and constant motivation.
